Formland is the meeting place for the interior and design industry with 422 exhibitors, divided into ten halls and many inspiring activities at the entertainment center MCH Messecenter Herning, Denmark, from 20-22 August 2023. Furthermore, the Trend Zone - Trendzonen - and the new Salon d'Amour, created by Studie FlyHelsted and trend expert, Anette Eckmann, are part of the trade show.
In keeping with tradition, you will find plenty of both aesthetic and new trends and tendencies when Formland Autumn opens its doors on Sunday for three inspiring days with exhibitors, new designs and solutions for inside and outside, talks, presentations and workshops. The visitors can also explore a trend zone, inspired by Studie FlyHelsted - an area with the title 'Grounded - The Element of Living'.
The trend zone of the year has many contrasts, and the elements earth, fire, water and air create coherence, and the color palette creates a variation. Studie FlyHelsted has gone back to the roots and has also turned everything upside down - and at the trade fair the visitors can learn more about this idea.
- The daily trend talk is a verbal supplement to the Trend Zone where we show you more about the ideas behind the Zone, the creative process, and the different parts of the area. We show you some chosen highlights, look at current trends and help the shops find out what they can do - and we make it more specific by identifying specific initiatives in the area, explains interior designer, Mille Fly, from Studie FlyHelsted.
According to Studie FlyHelsted, humans of our time are on the look for more balance and safety in this ever changing and modern world. This is why trust and transparency become ever more important to us - this thesis is very interesting for shops.
- It is important to be clear. The clearer you are, the easier it is for the customers to navigate. That is why it might be an idea for the shops to be open about their shopping policy. Then, if a customer finds out that you for instance share the same mindset, dreams, political views and values regarding environment, it can create a huge loyalty. Especially small shops have a lot to win by personalizing the experience and creating attention about all the good stories of the place, Mille Fly explains.
Event and workshop area with its focus on passion and love
Elsewhere at Formland, you find the custom-made event and workshop area, Salon d'Amour, created by trend expert, Anette Eckmann, an area with its full focus on time spent together, nearness, passion and love.
- The customers want to be seen, heard and treated with respect and personality and, if not, they will attend other places to do their shopping. Attention, good service and great experiences mean everything. If your customers are treated with love and personality, they will be become loyal customers who are motivated to visit your store and buy from you again, says Anette Eckmann and describes the importance of the salon concept in the year 2023.
- The Salon concept is extremely important in a time when everybody is in a little bubble of their own. At Salon d'Amour, you can get new knowledge, learn new things, exchange experiences and expand your knowhow together with other people from the industry. All people need this from time to time.
Visitors at the Salon may participate in events and competitions free of charge with themes about everything from cakes over vintage decoration to fashion with focus on sustainability. This is how they can find inspiration for creating events and experiences in their own shops.
422 exhibitors and all the talks and debates you could wish for
The exhibitors at Formland have been divided into theme worlds, such as interior, design, lifestyle, fashion, gastronomy and outdoor. The latter can be found in a new hall with focus on outdoor furniture and accessories.
Finally, Formland Spring will feature 'Danske Dekoratører'. With the help of colors, they work with the different ways of life, the organic nature of people's sensuous GREENHOUSE, and Circular Formland Days focuses exclusively on exhibitors with a focus on circularity and sustainability.
In the Event Kitchen, the visitors can look forward to inspiration and entertainment from exhibitors with amazing new thinking drinks and gastronomy, and Mette Hagedorn's shop concept WHOSAIDTRASH has its focus on design, recycling and upcycling.
The Speak Up stage is the place for talks and debates, and at Speak Up a wide range of high-profile experts will be speaking. These include trend researcher, Mads Arlien-Søborg, CEO of the pej Gruppen, Luise Byg Kongsholm, and concept developer, speaker and stylist, Stine Grubbe.
