2nd Source Studio
2nd Source Studio is a Danish design studio that creates aesthetic, long-lasting products from industrial surplus and leftover materials. We operate under a simple philosophy: good design should not only be beautiful – it should also be responsible.
Drawing on Scandinavian design traditions and a playful, experimental approach, we develop furniture and interior products that give new life to materials that would otherwise go to waste. While wooden figures have long been part of Denmark's design heritage, we felt there was room for something different: a more contemporary, design-led interpretation created for modern interiors and offered at an accessible price point.
Our journey began at the graduation exhibition of the Royal Danish Academy in 2013, where we met some of Denmark's most promising emerging designers.
