BLOMUS

The Japanese designer Kazushige Miyake found inspiration for this rug series in the dry landscape gardens of Kyoto, the so-called “Karesansui”. The patterns raked there into the gravel are reminiscent of the swirling currents of a river and are thus meant to symbolise the natural beauty and serenity of nature. However, this rug does not simply imitate the “Karesansui” style. The designer has rather tried to translate the essence of the gardens into a design that fits well into modern interiors. The combination of straight lines and circles expresses the randomness of nature and creates a relaxing atmosphere that adds harmony and a unique accent to quiet rooms. Available in several colours and sizes.
