It takes root in the modernist design movement characterised by an abundance of art and culture. The Villa, which is created in cooperation with Atelier Cph, also houses Café Nord where you can enjoy a delicious meal.

The Villa is a place where modern, minimalistic and cubic exterior meets classic, warm interior inspired by the 70s. Simple white walls combined with terracotta bricks will frame a curated collection of handmade sculptures and objects selected among Formland's exhibitors. The Villa is inspired by the modernist design movement as well as architects and artists like Le Corbusier, Picasso and Alvar Aalto, who took their point of departure in the architectonic characteristics of cubism including functionality, modernity and simplicity. The modernist design movement is characterised by an abundance of art and culture which is what we would like to express with this café. Welcome to The Villa.
The Villa is designed with a simple, functional and cubic exterior and a classic interior decoration from the 70s, where materials such as oak, teak and terracotta bricks give the place texture and materiality. The organic, handmade elements are supplied in the form of sculptures and artistic wall pieces. The main concept 'The Artist Home' is inspired by the homes of architects and artists, where objects, books, sculptures and art adds identity and personality to the home. We collect objects with a history and bring them to our home. Please feel free to explore The Villa.
The idea of The Villa is to combine bulky-looking furniture with straighter and simpler lines. By experimenting with warm colours such as terracotta, oak and teak, a contrast to the white walls and podiums has been created. The design combines formalistic minimalism with an organic and natural softness. To the greatest extent possible the Trendcafé will be made in a sustainable setup.
In cooperation with Café Nord Atelier Cph have designed and created the setting for a modern and emotional café where the kitchen has put an effort into creating delicious food with respect for seasonal ingredients. Tableaus of handmade ceramics that match the surroundings, will form an important part of the table display.
