alt.arka is a Danish design studio that creates exclusive interior products from industrial surplus and leftover materials.
We believe that luxury can be achieved through reused resources, thoughtful considerations, material understanding, and good Danish design.
With a foundation in Scandinavian aesthetics and form language, we develop special made solutions for high-end restaurants and businesses seeking interiors with character, integrity, and longevity. We work closely with our clients so each product not only fulfils a function but adds a tactile, present identity to the space.
At alt.arka, surplus materials are given new life through refined craftsmanship and a thought trough design process, where the story of the materials’ origin is a central part of the value. We work locally, transparently, and with strong respect for the expression of the raw material.
Our aim is to demonstrate that thoughtful design and sustainability can elevate one another, thereby defining a new standard for contemporary Danish design.

Laura Brath & Patrick Lund Jørgensen
Co-founders
Laura Brath and Patrick Lund Jørgensen are industrial designers and co-founders of alt.arka, driven by a shared belief that existing materials deserve a new life. They work from a design-ethical standpoint where quality, consideration, and taking the necessary time are essential values, in contrast to throwaway culture. For them, long-lasting design emerges when Scandinavian aesthetics, material understanding, and respect for craftsmanship come together.
