alt.arka

In Denmark, large amounts of usable wood are wasted every year as surplus material from industry. This chair is a direct response to that issue. It is handcrafted locally from selected offcuts from window production and designed around the materials’ existing dimensions to minimize waste. The construction is simple and strong, created to last for many years and to demonstrate that surplus materials can form the basis for furniture with both high functional and aesthetic quality.

alt.arka

alt.arka is a Danish design studio that creates exclusive interior products from industrial surplus and leftover materials.

We believe that luxury can be achieved through reused resources, thoughtful considerations, material understanding, and good Danish design.

With a foundation in Scandinavian aesthetics and form language, we develop special made solutions for high-end restaurants and businesses seeking interiors with character, integrity, and longevity. We work closely with our clients so each product not only fulfils a function but adds a tactile, present identity to the space.
