The history started back in 1777 when Jacob Holmblad created his own business with manufacturing candles of animal fats added a wick in the middle of Copenhagen City. Later in 1841 the company was moved to Amager to the street Holmbladsgade.
In Christianshavn was soap and other chemical products factory names O.F ASP. During the 1800's the 2 factories were competitors until they in 1919 made a fusion and the name ASP-HOLMBLAD w
