At Studio-Aarhus, we celebrate the perfect in the imperfect and we believe in the idea of preserving the original and seeing the beauty in it. It is all driven by an instinctive love for the raw materials and a constant search for the aesthetic in the incorrect.
As a tribute to Danish design traditions, Nordic simplicity and the question mark of art, we work in a universe where each product has its own story to tell – whether it is in the surface, the bias or in the brush stroke.
At Studio-Aarhus, we want to create a living workshop. We break with the traditional "ceramic rules" to create a more quirky and playful universe.
We strive to slow down, and we give time and space for the ideas to run freely. All our production takes place in Denmark, and we put energy and love into each and every product. Therefore, a new collection does not come every month, but it comes when the time is right.
