When Cleaning Becomes Styling

One way Humdakin strives to motivate daily cleaning is through the aesthetic appeal of their products, which are designed to be displayed as a constant reminder to keep things tidy. The pleasant scents and efficiency of the products greatly influence our motivation when it comes to cleaning.
Many of us wait until dirt and grime have accumulated everywhere in our homes before tackling the cleaning, but this is entirely wrong, according to Humdakin’s owner and founder, Camilla Schram.
As a student, Camilla Schram ran her own cleaning business, where she witnessed firsthand how many people leave a dirty dishcloth on the kitchen counter for weeks. Camilla’s experiences in various homes and her passion for cleaning inspired the creation of what we now know as Humdakin. She saw a lack of products that could motivate people to clean through everything from visual appeal and scents to effectiveness, all while being gentle on the skin. Cleaning can quickly become overwhelming if it requires rubber gloves, and it shouldn't be that way.
Camilla Schram has had great success discussing this very topic in her popular workshops. Here, participants are taken through the story behind Humdakin while being inspired to go home and start keeping things clean.
The workshops always conclude with a styling competition, where participants create a display for either the bathroom or kitchen using Humdakin products. It's not just important to keep things clean, but also to decorate your home. This way, the motivation to clean daily often comes naturally.
In our book *The Art of Organizing, Cleaning & Styling*, you'll find our guides and all the inspiration you need if you’re lacking motivation to start keeping your home cleaner.
