From Danish Christmas tradition to a personal Copenhagen experience

How do you bring a Danish Christmas tradition dating back more than 150 years to life for people today?
At Ugly Duckli, the answer became the Private Paper Heart Experience.
Danish woven Christmas hearts have been part of the Ugly Duckli universe for more than 20 years. Rather than allowing the tradition to live only through products and weaving guides, Rikke now welcomes guests into the Ugly Duckli universe in her home in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen.
The Private Paper Heart Experience is a private two-hour experience for 1-6 guests. They discover the story of Danish woven Christmas hearts, Hans Christian Andersen, Danish Christmas traditions, creativity and hygge while learning to weave their own hearts.
The materials are Ugly Duckli's own designs and are produced in Denmark using Danish materials.
But the experience is about more than learning a technique. It is about passing a Danish tradition from person to person and making time for conversation, creativity and being together.
In this way, an old Danish Christmas tradition has become a new way to experience Danish culture.
The Private Paper Heart Experience is available in Danish or English and is booked privately for the entire group.
