It has been honored with the prestigious international medals: Master (The Liqueur Masters) and Taste Master (The Global Spirits Masters).

The quince liqueur has also been named “Best Danish Fruit Liqueur” in 2022.

The liqueur is brewed from late summer sun-ripened quinces, which are carefully flavored with bitter paradise apples, sweet and sour must of summer apples and a hint of licorice root.

The result is a unique and balanced taste experience that goes perfectly with cheese, tapas and desserts. The liqueur has a natural alcohol content of 14%.

With our unique new interpretations of the classic liqueur, we want to show the world how much deliciousness nature in our small local area can offer.

We grow a wealth of fruits, herbs and berries here on the farm, which are buzzing with life, diversity and sustainable biodiversity.
Here are old apple varieties, elderberries, walnuts, dandelions and even horsetail, which we curiously explore and experiment with in our liqueur production.

The alcohol is developed naturally using our very own wild yeast, which we have propagated ourselves from the farm's old Guldborg apple tree.

The aromatic and flavour-rich liqueurs ferment for a minimum of 15 months before they are ready. Things take time!

Enjoy the liqueurs as they are - for example as companions to cheese, tapas and dessert. Or try them as new interesting flavor components in cocktails and aperitifs.

Westjysk Smag

We are an award-winning craft brewery in West Jutland. We handpick raw materials for unique liqueurs, vinegars and ready-to-drink juices.

At Westjysk Smag, we want to return to the natural flavors in our liqueurs and vinegars. We brew without added alcohol and sulfites, for keeping the focus on the authentic taste.

Our love to the nature means that we recycle all leftovers from the fruit and vegetables and use it as fertilizer for trees and shrubs. We appreciate biodiversity around the farm, which is why we have areas in our apple grove where we let the grass grow.
