When Tommy Jensen visited England in 2015 and tasted caramel popcorn for the first time, he was sold. The super crispy, sweet, and salty popcorn was exactly what his taste buds had been longing for. However, when he returned home, he unfortunately realized that in Denmark, only one kind of popcorn was being eaten: the salted ones.
Therefore, Tommy had to take matters into his own hands to create the perfect caramel popcorn. The first batch of caramel, however, burnt to such an extent that Tommy's wife had to say goodbye to her favorite pot. But as a true entrepreneur, Tommy refused to be discouraged by the mishap! He bought a new pot for his wife and returned to the stove.
After almost 500 attempts, he finally nailed it: the ultimate, golden caramel with delicate notes of Læsø's world-famous salt. NoCrap Gourmet Popcorn was born.
In 2023, NoCrap Gourmet became a part of OK Snacks, which has over 40 years of experience in producing high-quality Danish snacks.
