The tulip vase is a popular Delft Blue gift. Through the separate openings the flowers look nice and the vase is a real showpiece. In the past the vase was not only meant to present flowers or tulips, but also as a decorative piece. In the 17th century, when the tulip was very exclusive and expensive, people with the tulip vase showed that they were prosperous. It was therefore known as a status symbol.
