Flange Gaskets and Flat Sheet Gaskets
arrow_backTo the overviewGaskets of rubber, silicone and other elastomers, rubber cork, fibreboard, graphite, PTFE and mineral sheet materials produced in customer-specific designs.
Depending on the material, the gaskets can meet a number of industry and authority-regulated approvals and international standards.
• Rubber sheets are produced in the traditional rubber types NBR, HNBR, EPDM, CR, NR, VMQ and FPM.
• Rubber cork is made from cork granules of different sizes bonded with a polymer of types NBR, CR, EPDM or VMQ.
• A fiber system can consist of cellulose fibers, aramid fibers, a combination of glass and aramid, carbon fibers or vermiculite with added various fillers and bonded with rubber or another polymer.
• Gasket laminates consist of a stainless-steel layer covered with a gasket material on both sides to increase the tensile strength of the material. The facing material is typically graphite, mica, or vermiculite.
• The PTFE materials can be anything from the virgin PTFE to mono- or multidirectional types, either as plates or expanded material.
