Clamp Gaskets, Bonded Seals, and other Static Seals
arrow_backTo the overviewStatic seals, i.a. O-rings, are typically used where fast and easy assembly is required. Efficient sealing is achieved by correct dimensioning, optimal choice of material and controlled compression in either a sealing groove (O-rings, clamp gaskets) or by an integrated metal part (bonded seals).
CLAMP GASKETS
Clamp gaskets are sanitary seals made of rubber, silicone and plastic materials (PTFE). Typically used in stainless flanges and pipe joints and tightened using a characteristic steel collar (clamp), without the use of bolts.
Clamp gaskets are primarily used in connection with liquid media in laboratories and production lines within the processing, food and pharmaceutical industries. In these applications, there are strict requirements for cleanliness, which is why Betech’s certified clamp gaskets can be the ideal choice. They ensure the safe and easy cleaning of pipe systems.
BONDED SEALS
Bonded seals are sealing rings, which consist of an outer metal ring to which a trapezoidal rubber ring is moulded on the inside. This compresses the inner rubber ring, forming a seal. The metal ring ensures that the rubber ring is subjected to well defined compression and prevents it from being extruded through the gap.
