Rayas Collective blends traditional Salvadoran weaving techniques with contemporary design to create unique, handcrafted basket bags. Each piece is woven by our artisan Vanesa in her workshop Nahuizalco, El Salvador.
Founded in Berlin, Germany in 2022 by sisters-in-law Luisa and Consuelo, Rayas Collective was born after a visit to Consuelo's home country of El Salvador. Inspired by our travels throughout the country, we developed a deep admiration for Salvadorans
artisanship—its incredible resourcefulness, creativity, and adaptability. Crafting beautiful, high-quality products with limited materials embody this artistry.
Through a close partnership with Vanesa and her family—an essential relationship that continues to shape our brand—we are committed to preserving traditional craftsmanship, strengthening community ties, and empowering local artisans through fair and
sustainable production.
Rayas Collective is exhibiting at a trade fair in Denmark for the first time.
