It all began with Åsa, who created a unique design inspired by the idea that the gnome is a shy creature that prefers to stay hidden – which is why only the nose peeks out from under the hat. Three decades later, we’re still making each gnome by hand, with the same care and attention to quality. The hats are hand-felted from wool, and we use natural sheepskin – either from Icelandic or Gotlandic sheep.

We are dermatologically tested. we do not cause pigmentspots in the sun while using the perfumes . Everything for our perfumes is purchased in Denmark or within Europe as much as possible.

Gry & Sif is a fair trade certified Danish company. Gry & Sif manufactures decorative felt products homes all over the world. The felt products are made from 100% wool imported from New Zealand. Gry & Sif is Danish design, but the feltwork is made in Nepal by very talented Nepalese women. Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world and the need for development is enormous. Gry & Sif has a vision of combining Scandinavian design with Nepali traditions, and help improve living conditions in Nepal, as well as contribute to cozy surroundings in any home.
