Medusa-Copenhagen

We are Maj-Britt and Rie Bidstrup – mother and daughter – and the designers behind Medusa-Copenhagen. Since 1997, we’ve created a whimsical and colorful universe filled with quirky characters, playful details, and plenty of sparkle. Our designs often take shape along the way, growing organically from our ideas – and sometimes taking on a life of their own.

What all our products have in common is the craftsmanship behind them. Each figure is shaped, modeled, cast, and carefully refined by hand before being hand-painted in detail. This process ensures that every piece is unique, with its own distinct charm.

The latest addition to our collection is a series of handcrafted beaded ornaments, made in close collaboration with our family in India. Lovingly embroidered and full of character, they bring tradition, warmth, and a touch of magic to the Medusa universe.
