The Christmas decoration for 2024 from Forsølvningsfabrikken is a copper plated mistletoe branch. The copper plating is applied by electroplating! Under the lovely copper surface is a real mistletoe plant. The surface can change over time, developing patina or becoming matt. The branch will also obtain a verdigris surface if left outdoors.

Sara’s thoughts on the Christmas decoration:
Mistletoe symbolises innocence, peace and love. According to tradition, anyone who finds themselves under the mistletoe can receive a kiss. I am rather fond of this tradition, for what is more innocent than a little kiss between two people who care about each other?
