When the floral industry meets at Formland Autumn from 19-22 August 2021, there will be plenty of inspiration in a completely new universe bursting with the latest green trends for both indoor and outdoor spaces. The new area is called 'GREENHOUSE - Nature to the people', and with GASA GROUP as partner, Formland will be inviting visitors inside an inspiring, green, vivid and organic, sensory universe combining the floral and the interior industry in a completely new way.
- In recent years, we have been connecting with nature intensively and discovered that it has a de-stressing and relaxing effect on our well-being. This has boosted our desire to move nature inside our homes, and therefore we see a hybrid trend in the industry, where florists sell interior products, and interior shops sell plants and flowers, says Charlotte Hedegaard, Creative Concept Developer in MCH Messecenter Herning.
This trend is noticeable at GASA GROUP where Jens Hermansen, marketing manager at GASA GROUP is looking forward to joining the new green universe at Formland:
- "Nature to the people" that is our mantra. We go to work every day with the intention of bringing small pieces of nature all the way to our end users. 'GREENHOUSE- Nature to the people' is an excellent opportunity to become part of an exciting universe with a unique composition of plants, flowers and interior. Furthermore, it provides an outstanding opportunity to market our plants towards our customers. This is also in line with our quest to create value by bringing suppliers and consumers closer together.
The organiser of Formland is also anticipating the launch of the floral industry at the fair:
- The floral industry is a new sector at Formland, in which we can see great potential, and which has not previously been represented at the fair. Together with GASA GROUP we will be shining a light on Danish horticulture and present floral products in new, inspiring and surprising ways by displaying plants together with the latest interior products, says Formland's project manager, Flemming Andersen.
A new green universe
The 'GREENHOUSE' area is created in collaboration with the floral industry and will become a permanent part of Formland in future. The area will be an extension of the 'Living & Garden' sector and will include a large orangery showcasing plants, flowers and interior, an outdoor area with herbs and flowers and a workshop with events, where visitors can gather knowledge and be inspired to combine present both flowers and interiors in new contexts.
The Florists' Association ‘Floristen Danmark’ welcomes the new trend area:
- 'GREENHOUSE' is a great initiative linking the entire industry together. The collaboration with GASA GROUP is highly beneficial to the Danish market and the Danish horticulture, as it forms a completely new and unique showcase focusing on flowers and plants. At the same time, I also consider it profitable for the flower and interior shops, as they will be able to explore how interior and plants can work together, says Jens Poulsen, chairman of the Florists' Association ‘Floristen Danmark’.
