Formland continues to grow year on year, and from 2021 the spring edition of MCH's large interior and design fair will include a brand new area dedicated to furniture. MCH A/S and Møbelmessen Skandinavien have just signed an agreement that makes Møbelmessen an integral part of Formland Spring.
Formland Spring will therefore be offering an exhibition hall filled with the upcoming season's furniture ranges. It is a move that brings the furniture industry side by side with the rest of the Danish interior and design industry at MCH Messecenter Herning.
Positive synergy effects
Møbelmessen Skandinavien welcomes the cooperation, which according to exhibition organiser Esben Veng-Christensen, creates a wider and stronger trading platform.
"Formland Spring is an incredibly professional concept, which with the added furniture fair will represent a wonderful and broad offer for the entire interior, design and now also furniture industry, with many positive synergies to be had. As I hand over the Møbelmessen to Formland, I am both delighted and proud that I will still be part of the fair,"says Esben Veng-Christensen, and adds:
"Møbelmessen Skandinavien has been running for ten years. It has stabilised in recent years and has been a sensible and credible concept for our exhibitors. However, we have struggled to lift the fair from being just a traditional and narrow trade fair for the furniture industry, something that this new collaboration will change. I am certain that this approach gives the furniture industry an even stronger place to meet and develop."
Cooperation that strengthens industries
At Formland, project manager Mai-Britt Risvig Flyvholm looks forward to welcoming the entire furniture industry at Formland Spring.
"Firstly, we owe Esben a big thank you for his confidence in us. Møbelmessen Skandinavien has proved its value over the past ten years and we look forward to developing the fair together. With Møbelmessen on board, Formland grows in strength by having an extra leg to stand on, and Formland's large experience universe, with its trending environments to presentations, will have even more to offer" says Mai-Britt and adds:
"Bringing together the interior, design and furniture industry is a natural match, and we believe that this new constellation will attract new visitors - both nationally and internationally.
45 years+ of combined trade fair experience
Last year, Møbelmessen Skandinavien celebrated its 10th anniversary and has, since its foundation, always been held in Trekantområdet. The last fair featured 54 exhibitors and visits from 300 furniture stores from Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Germany.
Formland has been running twice a year for the last 36 years in MCH Messecenter Herning. The 72nd edition of the interior and design fair took place on 30 January - 2 February 2020, and was visited by more than 10,000 professionals from 33 countries.
Møbelmessen can be experienced for the first time as part of Formland Spring 2021, which takes place on 4 - 7 February in MCH Messecenter Herning, Denmark.
