For the past 35 years, Denmark's biggest interior and design fair Formland has been bringing together industry heavyweights and inviting professionals from all over the world to an inspiring experience crammed with valuable information and hundreds of new products. Buyers, exhibitors, designers and stylists flock to the fair, which twice yearly attracts around 12,000 visitors from more than 5,500 stores across up to 40 countries. Common to them all is their passion for interior and design - specifically Danish and Nordic design, which is highly acclaimed both nationally and internationally.
Formland runs every spring and autumn, and at the next fair from 15 - 18 August, 450 exhibitors will take over the 10 large halls with their latest product ranges. The fair also offers an activity programme filled with unique initiatives - and put together in a way that gives visitors specific input on how to create a matching range that builds on the current biggest design trends.
Unique trend zones and inspiring presentations
It is the innovative inspiration and trend areas with a focus on Danish hygge that make Formland stand out from other trade fairs in the industry - both in form and content. This is where leading trend experts, such as Anette Eckmann, Mads Arlien-Søborg and design duo FLYHELSTED and HØEG+MØLLER set up creative experience environments with carefully selected products. This autumn's fair boasts trend areas VÆRKET, SELECTED BY, ONE and a trend café, Café Composé.
Formland's presentation stage, SPEAK UP, also offers a wealth of inspiring and informative talks and panel debates from many of the industry's sharpest minds. Among this autumn's international presenters is one of the world's leading colour experts, marketing director from Pantone Abigail Bruce, and also Swedish trend expert Stefan Nilsson, while the German-American and world-renowned blogger Holly Becker will join a panel debate. The programme includes presentations and debates on social responsibility, new retail and digital communication.
And when visitors need a breather to absorb all the information, both VÆRKERT and Café Composé offer gourmet refreshments, while a wide range of restaurants offer gastronomic taste sensations and delicacies from the fair's vibrant market hall.
Visionary entrepreneurs and the cream of Danish design
Over the years, Formland has proven itself as one of the Nordic's leading interior and design fairs and attracts both visionary entrepreneurs and the cream of Danish design. This year's exhibitors and interior and furniture brands include Normann Copenhagen and Georg Jensen, and the multi-brand company Rosendahl Design Group, which is represented by its nine independent brands, comprising Kähler and Kay Bojesen to name but a few.
"Danish and Nordic design plays a key role in the international scene and we are extremely proud to continually bring together the entire Danish design and interiors industry, both old hands and newcomers, under one roof. We are delighted that visitors from all over the world come to Formland and explore the fair's inspiring experiences," says Mai-Britt Risvig Flyvholm, project manager at Formland.
