Two Leading Danish Designers Unite in an Inspiring Collaboration Ahead of Formland Autumn 2025

Gitte Carlend, founder of the luxurious glass universe COSMO ROYALE, and Malene Fredericia, the creative force behind the sustainable Christmas concept MCEY (Merry Christmas Every Year), have come together to create a shared expression that both celebrates tradition and elevates aesthetics and responsibility.

Both women share a passion for timeless, beautiful design, craftsmanship, durability, and a deep love for the special atmosphere that Christmas brings.

While COSMO ROYALE offers stunning mouth-blown Christmas ornaments hand engraved and decorated with real gold and white gold, MCEY presents unique hatbox-style advent calendars made from recycled paper—two brands designed to be reused year after year.

The products complement each other in both design language and values, offering retailers a unique selection with strong B2B potential.

“We both create products that endure—both visually and physically. It’s about bringing together uniqueness and sustainability in something that makes sense year after year,” says Malene Fredericia.

“For us, it’s also about making something beautiful and special accessible to quality-conscious consumers and partners—without compromising on aesthetics or ethics,” adds Gitte Carlend.

The collaboration will be showcased at a shared booth at Formland, stand H6290, where visitors can experience the visual unity and meet the designers in person.
