The prestigious CREATORS COMMUNITY Design Award was awarded to Jacob Kocemba and Bo Sten Hansen from Copenhagen Sparkling Tea Company. They were awarded because of their promising concept within a brand new category of beverages containing great export opportunities.
Designer Lasse Sundgaard has developed the bike rack GREN with a design so beautiful and functional that it won the prestigious "German Design Award" 2018.
At Formland Spring 2016 Lasse was selected to exhibit at CREATORS COMMUNITY with his company 'Made by BENT' - and he has exhibited at Formland since then.
In 2015 a family member asked Lasse Sundgaard to create a suspended shelf so that he could hang and showcase his bike. Lasse accepted the challenge and developed a suspension that fits beautifully with modern, interior design; both with and without a bicycle. It has been a long process for Lasse to develop the right solution, but the result is so successful that he has recently won the German Design Award in the category "Bikes and E-bikes".
'Formland was the first professional fair that we attended. The first time we participated at Formland, we had no experience. Both before and at the fair, the team behind Formland was a great help and all our questions was replyed in a kindly and competent way. As a small brand we achieved a lot of help during the online guidance. Now, we are more experienced but are still met with great kindness and professionalism. Besides networking, we meet new exhibitors and we feel like one big Formland family.
Each time we exhibit at Formland we are excited about which initiatives they have made to make the experience even better for the visitors. We experience a great mix of exhibitors presenting new ideas, which are incorporated in a Formland concept at the trend areas and give a good overall impression. Besides the trend areas that work really well, you also notice the love to the details. As a visitor, you are inspired everywhere - not just the halls and products, but the people behind the fair also make it an experience to join Formland.
In our car back home we always look forward to the next Formland fair'.
It was Harald Hermanrud’s functional and uncompromising design of the wall unit HOMER that resulted in the price of BEST DESIGN at Formland in February 2017. Expectantly he participated at Formland with his different approach to his working method as a designer and exhibiting his wall unit, HOMER. The participation and attention was the reason that he has now proceeded towards making his dream come true as an entrepreneur. He now works determined to become a designer and control his own production.
His approach to design and product development spring from the traditions of Danish design, where the craftsmanship and functional design are combined in a timeless expression. To ensure the high quality, Harald has chosen to have the main responsibility of production of the wall unit, but in close cooperation with acknowledged manufacturers. The HOMER unit system is his first range of products that exist of a frame, where you can place a selection of shelves, boxes and trays to adapt to the users.
Harald Hermanrud participated at CREATORS COMMUNITY with an ambition to get the sale started, to be able to develop more products and to get his business idea tested. At the community his network of professional at home and abroad expanded, and at the same time it became the first step into the retail market as a designer.
